PVNA Tree Planting: Now Taking Applications!
(Form Below)
The neighborhood survey indicated that the Palo Verde Neighborhood Assoc’s main focus this year should be planting trees which will help provide shade and wildlife habitat. In response, PVNA is planning a Tree Planting project and applications are now live.
Funds are limited so trees will be provided only though an application process. Application is open to all residents and property owners in the Palo Verde Neighborhood. You may apply for one or two trees. Renters may also apply with the permission of the property owner.
The Palo Verde Neighborhood Foresters will help with mentoring, and planting. Although the species list is not determined yet, the trees will be 15 gallon trees. Planting large healthy trees provides the best chance for trees to thrive and grow. They need to be planted within 10 feet of the front property line. Trees will need to be watered for 2-3 years and applicants will need to provide adequate water for that critical period of growth. The recipients will be required to sign a commitment form similar to the one we used for the basin project.
Applications are due by July 30, 2026. Recipients will be notified by September 1, 2026. Planting will be scheduled for October and November of 2026.
