Share a bit about yourself
My name is Kyle Swengel, and I've been a proud Palo Verde resident since 2019. I served as a U.S. Air Force Officer and Combat Search & Rescue Pilot before transitioning into the mortgage industry and real estate investing. I have renovated and own three homes in the neighborhood, and I care deeply about preserving and improving the community for current and future residents. Outside of work, I enjoy meeting neighbors, staying active, and finding ways to give back to the community I call home.
I'm interested in serving as President because I believe Palo Verde has tremendous potential, and I'd like to help continue the positive momentum that previous neighborhood leaders have created. My military experience taught me how to lead diverse teams, build consensus, communicate effectively, and solve complex problems while keeping the mission and people at the center of every decision. Since moving to Palo Verde, I've worked alongside neighborhood leadership on the Bellevue Street traffic mitigation and street quieting project, and I've seen firsthand how dedicated volunteers can make a meaningful difference. If elected, I'd like to focus on improving neighborhood safety, reducing crime, supporting traffic calming efforts, increasing walkability, beautifying the neighborhood, and encouraging greater resident involvement so we can continue building a stronger community together. -
I've lived in our wonderful community for 5 years. I've been on the board for the 4.5 years serving as the North West Quadrant Representative. During this time I've worked on most of PVNA activities and initiatives. I am committed to helping our community thrive and continuing to support events and actions that encourage community and improve our shared quality of life. I love yoga, dancing and movement in general. I'm a Master Gardener with Pima County and love our southwest home. Living in midtown and Palo Verde Neighborhood is a wonderful and energizing place to live. We're close to everything and can take in all the wonderful things there are to do in Tucson. People in our community care and are willing to work together to improve things and that makes a difference.
I've done a lot of community organizing in my career and volunteer activities. I co-led the work to save Sweetwater Preserve in the Tucson Mountains earlier in my volunteer work. My career was in the field of organizational and leadership development. I worked helping organizations and leaders improve their ability to meet their goals, work well together and provide the type of leadership that builds community. I'm retired now and have the time to devote to helping the community continue to thrive. My organization and leadership skills will help the board to prioritize the work we do and the impact we can have on improving our quality of life. Thanks for the opportunity to serve in a different capacity. It brings me great joy to collaborate with the PVNA board and volunteers to serve our community, foster a vibrant neighborhood culture, share resources with our neighbors, and host fun, impactful events. Together, we're shaping the future of the Palo Verde Neighborhood and making a positive difference.

I’ve lived in Palo Verde for 8 years and have been a board member for 2. This is the best neighborhood, I'm so happy to be a part of it!
I grew up north of Tucson, in Oro Valley, have a background in marketing and photography, and I love spending my free time reading, gardening, or with my 3 year old.
